I strive to be a detail-oriented Assistant Editor and am always on the look out for ways to challenge and increase my knowledge base.

Here are some examples of skills I use in my day-to-day work.

Software

• Avid Media Composer

technical and creative

• Proficient in creating and tailoring projects to meet show needs.

• Scene assembles, laying in music, sound effects and temp VFX.

• Experience preparing offline for online, exporting EDLs and AAFs, output to MXF OP1a & DVD.

• Meticulous media management skills: ensures offline rushes mirror online, daily upkeep of footage logs and MXF file organisation.

• Cut and manage Digital deliverables (deleted scenes, extra content).

• Daily practice laying up, syncing and grouping multi-camera rushes and audio.

• Skilled use of shared storage platforms, i.e. Facilis Terrablock, Unity ISIS.

• Attentive to daily project backups and use of various LTO archive systems i.e. BRU PE, mTape.

• QC and management of local and international deliverables.

• Daily experience exporting cuts for Executives and creating compiles for Editors/Producers.

• Extensive experience ingesting and transcoding high volumes of footage, music, SFX and graphics.

• Frequent use of XDCAM, Sony Venice, Black Magic, Sony F5, a7S, GoPro, OSMO, Drone, CCVT and ENG footage.
